The life journey you take with your dog comes with happy and unhappy moments. It was hard losing SUGAR last March. I felt an overwhelming emptiness. What SUGAR taught me about unconditional love has provided me the strength and courage to move on.

Adopting KORU BEAR was unexpected, but I am so grateful for the opportunity. KORU means “new life.” For the past five months, my new life journey with KORU BEAR has been special and accompanied by having a lot of fun journeys.

Fall is my favorite season of the year. It is the season of change and a wonderful reminder of the circle of life. To celebrate, I took KORU BEAR on special Fall journeys.

5 Fun Fall Things to Do with Your Dog

1. Make A Handmade No-Sew Dog Bandana
A dog wearing a bandana is a trendy pet fashion. To commemorate our Fall journeys, I made KORU BEAR two special dog collar bandanas: DIY No Sew Dog Collar Bandana.
What You Need:
Cotton Fabric
Scissors
Iron-On Hem Tape
Iron

Instructions:
a. Make dog collar bandana pattern using a piece of paper, pen, and a ruler. 1) measure your dog’s collar – collar’s length ( without the buckle) and height of the widest part of the collar (most likely the collar’s buckle). 2) On your paper pattern, draw a rectangle based on the height of the widest part of the collar and collar’s length. Determine the center point of the rectangle. Draw a line when you find your desired length of the bandana. Complete the triangle; add about a fourth or half an inch around the entire pattern (for hemming purposes).
b. Using your pattern, cut two bandanas.
c. Hem each bandana using the iron-on hem tape and an iron (fold the edges about a fourth).
d. Using the iron-on tape and an iron, combine the two bandanas (eliminating the two openings for the dog collar).
e. For a sturdy hold on the dog collar, create a ‘fold’ (about a fourth) on top just below the opening for the dog collar.

2. Weekend Road Trip
Fall is a great time for road trips. KORU BEAR loves car rides and staying at a dog-friendly hotel. Visting a new historical park was one of the highlights of his trip. We shared a special moment when I presented him the dog collar bandana I made especially for our weekend trip.

3. Attend A Running/Walking Event
It’s awesome to have KORU BEAR as my running/walking buddy. Attending a dog-friendly running/walking event is a great fun way to stay fit with your dog. It’s our first 5k event and a pawsome way to start the Fall season.

4. Visit an Apple Orchard and Pumpkin Patch
KORU BEAR had so much fun visiting a dog-friendly apple orchard and pumpkin patch. For this special journey, I made another dog collar bandana using a plaid Fall theme cotton fabric.

KORU BEAR had so much fun, especially at the pumpkin patch. We purchased some pumpkins to decorate for Halloween.
