Our drive to Palm Springs was about an hour and a half and 115 miles. The drive was not smooth; you can feel the bumps and movements. Also, hoping to have more power but the acceleration is poor. When using the ECO MODE the car slowed down even more.
For a Japanese car-made, it is surprisingly spacious The back seat can comfortably accommodate 2-3 passengers but needed more knee room. For a big dog like KORU BEAR (about 75lbs and 45 inches long), the back seat is sufficient plus the headroom is good. The front driver and front passenger seats are comfortable. The seating is “high” and made outside visibility good.
The cargo space is wide and can accommodate large luggage. – if more space is needed, the back seats can be folded down.
We had an opportunity to watch the desert sunset and utilized the cargo space.
We drove around Palm Springs and visited places known as Instagram-worthy places. We visited the Pink Door (photography is no longer allowed) and the ACE Hotel.
The gas mileage in the Mitsubishi Outlander 3.0 GT S-AWC is good. We filled the gas tank when we passed the Historic Route 99 and visited Salvation Mountain.
The blind spot warning and lane change assist are great safety features but a bit sensitive and can be annoying.

The rearview camera system is a great feature shown on the awesome 7-inch touchscreen display. It was helpful when parallel parking or backing out of a driveway. This touchscreen display is a standard feature in Mitsubishi Outlander.
KORU BEAR is always safe in the car.
He wears an award-winning Sleepypod Clickit Terrain dog safety harness.
