Today is Remember Me Thursday!
Light Up The World For Orphan Pets!
Mike Arms, President of the Helen Woodward Animal Center, is the founder of Remember Me Thursday campaign. It is a global campaign to raise awareness of pet adoption! It’s a day to stop and think of all the pets still waiting for their forever homes and all the ones who have been lost and also to celebrate your own rescue pets.
millions of pets are killed every year because shelters are too full and there aren’t enough adoptive homes
Remember the Rescue
On this day, we remember a puppy named Shauna. Weeks after Angel Sugar passed away, we fostered a golden retriever puppy named Shauna. She was rescued from a high killed shelter in Southern California. Unfortunately, due to an illness (done by the breeder), Shauna only lived for six days. We are honored to have provided Shauna a loving home he best six days of real love.
Light Up The World For Orphan Pets | Be A Part of the Remember Me Thursday Awareness Campaign
Light a candle (literally or virtually) … by lighting a candle, you are honoring orphan pets that lost their lives and bringing awareness to adopt, reducing the millions of orphan pets euthanized each year. For more information and ways to get involved, visit RememberMeThursday.org.
My heart broke a second time for you when Shauna crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We are so happy that you have Koru Bear to share your incredible love and life with.
How sad, what happened to little Shauna? Poor kid!
Meowza, great photos!!! We love purrticipating in Remember Me Thursday and are thankful that so many folks are spreading the word about adoption.
Poor Shauna.
Thanks for shining the light for rescue pets.
Thank you for writing about Remember Me Thursday and for honoring Shauna with your post. That’s very sad that she didn’t make it, but thank you for loving her while she was here. And thanks for hopping along with us.
