A Book About JACK
Actually it is based on Jack’s blog: Daily Dose of Jack .
TG used to post everyday but ever since he started Jacks’s book he cut down on his posts.
Anyway, if you are a follower and reader of Jack’s blog, you’ll understand TG’s sense of humor as the owner of Jack the “cooperrish-foxish-yellow” Lab Dog . If you are not a reader to Jack’s blog (just like our friends who had permission to read Jack’s book) you’ll find TG’s stories about Jack very jocular and something to talk about.
6.
TG is a wonderful human dad to Jack.
You guys are meant to be together.
Book Review: Mister and The Gray Whisker + Interview With Author Katrina Foraker
It is geared for preschoolers, ages 3-6 years old. Pugs siblings, Mister and Mae, are the two main characters of the book. As any sibling, Mister and Mae are both very playful and at the same time loving with each other. During their play, Mae noticed Mister’s gray whiskers.
Mae provided Mister a great lesson for accepting change.
Mae reminded Mister that a change in his physical feature is all right.
It makes Mister special and uniquely defines him.
Those Elgin Pugs.
In my early twenties is when I really started to channel my creativity and put my ideas to paper. I had a job at a call center and I would write stories in between calls.
My love for my Pugs coupled with their silly behaviors and mannerisms greatly inspired me. Anyone who owns a dog can appreciate how silly they can be and if you have two or more of them, the dynamics they share.
One day, through observing these silly behaviors of theirs, I noticed a big gray whisker sticking straight out of Anakin’s face. It was so funny because in the sunlight, it stuck out like a sore thumb.
Mae’s character was inspired by my Pug Izzy. Mister’s Character was inspired by my Pug Anakin. They say write what you know, and through observing the behaviors between them, this story was not a far stretch from the truth.
I came up with the title because I call Anakin my Mister and Mister rhymes with whisker.
Writing allowed me to be creative in other venues. I’ve become more receptive to other talents and skills while keeping my mind sharp.
For anyone for feels inspired to write something you feel is of great value or importance, write it! Enjoy it! And most importantly have fun while you are doing it.
is an adorable children’s book. I do recommend it for ages 3-6 years old.

Book Review n Giveaway: A Dog Named Slugger
The publisher of “A Dog Named Slugger” sent us a copy of the book.
It’s very uplifting true story. Finest example of the difference a service dog can provide to a disabled person.
She longed to play with other kids but her disabilities shattered her wish. Leigh also discovered how other kids can be so cruel to those who are “different.” While she was in college, she learned and contacted an organization that provided mobility assistance dogs to people who needed assistance with the very simple tasks of day-to-day living.
