New Blog Logo: 4 Reasons Why A Blog Needs a Logo?

July 13, 2013

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

If you are a regular reader of our blog, you might have noticed that we have a new logo.
Just in case you are unable to view it properly, clear the web browser “cache” on your computer.

Our new logo is created by Missy Johnson, Dogs For The Paws. Missy is a very talented artist also known as The Rembrant 4 Rovers. Dogs for the Paws started as an animals rescue project. With Missy’s creative works that stand out, she continues to help and gives back to animal organizations.
Check out Missy’s site, Dogs For The Paws, 2013 nose to nose 2013 best website winner. Tides Sinatra Johnson is Missy’s recent adopted dog.

4 Reasons Why A Blog Needs A Logo?

1) Setting your blog a part from others. One reason having a unique logo is important as it makes your blog more memorable.
2) Your original logo design becomes a part of your “brand” identity. It is something that someone can look at and instantly recognize.
3) Having a blog logo tells your readers that you are committed about blogging.
4) Provides a portrayal of who you are with your readers.

A blog logo is important to identify your blog’s image. There are times it is necessary and worth an investment to have your blog logo done professionally.

Missy, Dogs For The Paws, did a PAWsome job on our new logo.
Lots of Golden Thanks Missy, Golden LOVE it!

What I’ve Done …

May 16, 2011

Many of you want to know what I did during my long Spring Break.
So here are the top 4 things that happened …
1) I enjoyed playing with 2 young pup labs named Elysa and Googoo. I’m a senior Golden but have an energy of a young pup so I was able to keep up with them.
2) Golden Delightful to swim in a pond of MUD.
3) I was given lots of delish foods and treats. I’m sure paying for it … I’ve gained a few pounds.
4) I became a Golden aunt … 6 lab pups were born.
Momtography was unavailable to take photos of these events but the most important was that I had a totally Golden Regal FUN Time.
Glad to be back home and sleep on my bed.
Did you notice something different on my blog?
Yes, we did a mini blog makeover.
1) Changed our blog layout.
2) Our blog can be viewed properly on Firefox and IE browsers.
3) Created a new blog header.
4) You can access my blog in 2 ways:

Hope you like the changes we made.

Mini-Blog Makeover

September 7, 2010

Notice Anything?
My Blogversary (10/10/10) is coming-up soon …
so decided to do a mini-blog makeover.
Nowadays, Blogger makes it easy to re-design blogs.
However, when we started my blog re-designing was done “old school” …
I’m lucky that someone smarter than me can do this.
Here are the changes …
1) Created a new blog Background. It’s not a fixed background meaning when you enlarge your screen, the background expands too. When you read my blog and scrolls down, the background moves too.
2) New Header. Mom takes lots of photos of me. She says that changing my blog header is one way to feature her favorite photos of me.
3) A Yellow Golden Paw is created for the Sidebar Gadget Title.
4) The Header MENU has been organized. The Recipe pages have been categorized for easy viewing.
If you have issues viewing my blog in a different browser
other than Safari and Firefox, please let us know.
LOVE to know what you think of my mini-blog makeover.
Lots of Golden Woofs,

Blog Design Makeover

October 18, 2009

It’s been a while since I’ve been thinking to enhance my blog design. I am always at awe at the changes (background/layout) made by my friends/followers on their blogs. So, finally I’ve convinced my mom to learn some of the “tricks on blog makeover.”  It took my mom a while and lots of research was involved. I am very fortunate for her talents which made this makeover possible. Mom still needs to do some minor “tweaking” but overall I am very pleased for my blog’s new design and layout.
What do you think? We love to hear your feedbacks and comments.
I would like to share these “Blog Makeover Tips” that my mom learned. Hope these will provide you guidance if you plan to do your own blog makeover.
A. Have a clear objective.
B. Inspired by Warren Buffet’s motto: KISS – “Keep it Sugarly Simple”
1) Design and layout simplicity should be your key goal. It should not be visually chaotic and cluttered.
2) Your choice of color(s) also plays an important role. It should be that are complimentary and visually pleasant to the eyes.
3) Images load time. A slow load time of your blog may turn away visitors.
4) Choice of font(s)-style. Readability is significant to the outcome of your blog’s look.
5) Be aware of browsers compatibility. This can be tricky. We use a MAC and Safari as our browser. Other browsers are Internet Explore and Firefox. You need to make sure your blog is validated for these browsers.
C. It’s YOUR Blog – Have FUN and ENJOY!
Hope these tips are helpful.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to let us know.
We are glad to help and make your blog makeover possible.
Lots of Golden Thanks
