My Own Sugar The Golden Retriever Photo Book by Mixbook.
A while back (Dec 2010) a very nice lady from Mixbook invited us to create a photo book from their customizable features.
My mom always wanted to create a “book” and have been checking out several sites. So it was just Golden Opportune to accept the very generous invitation from Mixbook.
Golden Woofs to Mixbook!
My photo book is Golden Pawesome. Mixbook software is truly unique and love the flexibility and customizable features. Mixbook offers lots of ready made layouts, a variety of backgrounds/stickers and an option to create your own. We are not a big fan of clip-arts but Mixbook’s embellishments (i.e. stickers) were pleasing and decided to use some of them. The “undo” button became our best friend when trying out different layout/background/stickers. The drag n drop features made it easier and helpful, especially when changing photos. We were amazed how Mixbook allows you to move a photo a fraction to the left, to the right, upside down, or what-ever way you please/want. You can put 1 blown up photo or several photos on a page. Another great photo feature is that Mixbook will inform/warn you that a photo is in low resolution which means it will be blurry when printed. If you want to add character to your photo book, adding text was fun. Mixbook offers various fonts and you can easily manipulate the font size and position. Due to a gazzilion photos of me, the time in selecting the right photos to use was the only challenge we had.
The book production and shipping was quick. We received my book via mail earlier than it was expected. My book was packed in a compact cardboard box and placed in a clear plastic sleeve. We were at awe upon opening it. We did not expect the quality of the hardbound and glossy book cover. Love to see a book title on the spine. Overall the print quality is very good. All the photos were printed/reproduced very well. The quality of the paper made my photos brighter. Also due to the high quality of paper used, there were no bleed through. The text were crisp and clear which made us regret not to add more text. The book preview feature definitely matched the printed copy.

My family and I absolutely LOVE my Photo Book.
Definitely a wonderful memory photo book that my family will forever treasure. My “Birthday” page is my Golden Favorite.
My mom has future plans to create more books and will certainly utilize Mixbook again particularly on our Tasty Treat Doggy Recipe Book.
