A week from now, the new president-elect of the United States, Barack Obama, will be inaugurated. Obama’s family will soon reside in the White House along with their new family pet, dog. They are narrowing down their choice of a dog. It’s either a Labradoodle or a Portuguese water hound. The Obamas are also looking into getting their dog in Washington-area shelters.
UPDATE: What DOG should the Obama family get?
President-elect Obama had his first news conference this afternoon and addressed the DOG issue.
Obama clarified that his daughter has allergies so one of the criteria of their DOG selection is that it must be a hypo-allergenic dog.
On the other hand, they also want to consider a rescue dog. In other words, the Obama family has not decided on what DOG they will be bringing to the White House.
