Meatballs are easy to make. There so many different ways to make meatballs. It is extra special when you make it for your beloved dog. It can be served as a treat or an extraordinary meal.
K9 Meatballs by Rachael Ray is Sugar’s favorite.
K9 Meatballs
* signifies substituted Ingredient
1/2 lb ground beef (*ground turkey)
1/2 cup cooked brown rice (*coconut flour)
1 shredded carrot
1 stalk celery, finely chopped
1/2 cup frozen chopped spinach, (*fresh chopped spinach)
2 tbsp chopped flat-leaf parsley
2 tbsp parmigiano-reggiano cheese
1 large egg
2 tbsp ground turmeric
3 tbsp of coconut oil *
Directions: Preheat the oven 400. Grease a muffin pan or baking sheet. In a medium bowl, combine all of the ingredients and mix well. Fill each muffin, or mixture into 10 balls and place on the baking sheet. Bake until cooked through, about 15 minutes. Let cool completely on a rack.
Makes 12 meatballs. Serve it one at a time. Store in the fridge or freezer.
