I’m Rosalyn, Golden Retriever dog parent to KORU BEAR, KENZO and ‘rainbow bridge dog’ SUGAR and creative creator of Golden Woofs.
SUGAR the golden retriever was the inspiration of Golden Woofs blog. SUGAR lived a long happy life; fifteen years and was loved by so many. SUGAR was One Of A Kind Golden Love.
A House Is Not A Home Without A Dog … I’m so lucky to experience Golden Love with KORU BEAR (KB) and KENZO.
We adopted KB May 31st, 2017. His original puppy name is BEAR and we added KORU; Māori for “loop” which based on the spiral shape of an unfurling silver fern and symbolizes new life, growth, strength, and peace. KORU BEAR = New Life of Bear
February 2021, California Bear KENZO joined our family. KENZO is a Japanese name that has as its origin two characters: ken (wise) and zo (three). KENZO is our third Golden and definitely a sharp-witted pup.
KORU BEAR and KENZO is continuing SUGAR’s mission to Spread Smiles with Love with our Smile With Me Campaign.

On this blog. I will be sharing Golden Retriever dog life adventures, dog care health tips to be a better dog parent specifically for fellow Golden Retriever owners, and homemade dog treat recipes.
I’m honored for publishing two books: 1) Sugar Furry Friend – inspired by SUGAR and her furry chipmunk pal we named Fred. 2) a dog treat book published by Mango Publishing – Spoiling Your Pup with Doglicious Homemade Treats. All the dog treat recipes were inspired by SUGAR. Some of my famous dog treat recipes were featured on major magazines; Dog Fancy, Family Circle, USA Today Pet Guide, Bake It Up! (see below).
