I’m thankful for the unconditional love my dog, Sugar, provides me. Every day I return the favor by doing things that put extra smiles in her Golden Life. In general, Sugar is a happy dog and very easy to please. Here are 5 Ways I Put Extra Smiles to Sugar’s Golden Life.

Those are 5 great ways, you always put a smile on my face.
OMG Sugar is so cute. Olivia agrees that bananas are good but peanut butter and yogurt are better. Belly rubs are best and her uncle kevin gives the best. Lots of smooches. She says and of course chicken treats are the best.
Yes, looks like your mom almost has her priorities right. Pawsonally I thought BALL should be #1 but that’s just me BOL!
Your Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
Bananas and belly rubs oh my!
Lily & Edward
Sugar – you are looking mighty fine for your age. What wonderful care you get from your mom.
Such amazing jumping ability! I can hardly believe it!

Looking great at going on14 Sugar! And we love your smile! The dry-roasted carrots and sweet potato wrapped in chicken treats look very yummy! I think they would make my dogs smile as well 🙂
I tweeted. Sugar is one happy dog and I like to make my dog happy too.
3 out of 4 rescued dogs in our house like bananas. One grumpy guy had a terrible life until he was rescued and came to live in doggie paradise with us. He’s a work in progress.
Mugga’s biggest smile always comes from playing with his favorite toy, the Snake.
I did not know that dogs could have banana, that sounds nice – plus treats!
I love the photos that Sugar takes! Sugar is definitely always smiling!! I feel like my Coco is always smiling too! But she definitely wouldn’t smile to a banana! She doesn’t like them! LOL!! Keep smiling Sugar!
My senior dog, Kouga likes bananas too. I mash them up with Greek yogurt, blueberries and a drizzle of honey. Then I freeze it. The dogs love it.
my 3 girls love bananas, we always share, my oldest is almost 14 as well, she is a mini schnauzer, but she has had a lot of health problems since feb, lost her hearing, and developed vestibular again, doing better, was at the vet hospital, have to do pt with her and acupuncture. sugar sure looks good for her age, wish our girls lived as long as we do.
The best way to make Mike feel happy is to say the word ‘walk’; he gets so excited his whole body wiggles. The of course you have to come through and actually take him on a walk.
i met someone today that has a golden that is almost 16 yrs old. wow, my 3 gals put smiles into my life, however, i think i put smiles into their life with all of the love i give them, excellent food and care. go to a homeopathic vet, dont over vaccinate, brush their teeth which they all hate and give them plenty of exercise and lots, lots of toys and treats. in fact, they have more hair products than i do, twice as many, more food in my house than i do as well.
Love these photos! #LookWhosHappy
I love the sight of your senior dog. My rescued senior does not understand how to play. No one ever played with him. Sometimes he gives his stuffed raccoon (Rocky) a shake though, and that makes him happy.
One of the ways I keep my dog happy is to take him different places. Artie loves to check out parks, cafes (dog welcoming) and events.
sugar has some very pretty white teeth, you must brush them everyday. i keep my 3 gals happy by playing and loving on them thru out the day and night. but they especially love it when they see me going for the treats in the cabinets. i am waiting for them to learn how to open the cabinets, then i will be in trouble.
Daily walks and lots of love and attention put a smile on our doggies’ faces. They are so happy to see us whenever we return from going somewhere too. It is precious to see. 🙂
I love knowing that how I take care of my dog makes her happy. she loves being outdoors treats playing water walks. she is a very happy dog 🙂
I bought Mike a plastic kids’ wading pool ($5 at Walmart), he is in bliss splashing in 3″ of cool water.
Our dogs love belly rubs the best, but bananas come in a close second.
My rescue girl, Lady Girl, also loves bananas and belly rubs, She loves to roam our acre sniffing everything in her path. She loves to be groomed, except for the nails and I have a new tool for that!!!
Of course, she loves her treats!!!
all five reasons to make my 3 gals happy, except the grooming, they run and hide when they see me taking out the grooming box and clippers.
I find that rolling Mike on his back and then massaging him under his front legs next to his ribs makes him smile like a human.
I try to put a smile on my dogs’ (and cats’) faces daily. Of course, each has their own personality, so each may get something different than the others. I give them all plenty of cuddles. For three of the dogs I give them long walks (the fourth is my senior and she can’t handle the distances anymore, but will still get mini-walks up and down for several houses on each side of us). Plenty of healthy food and treats for all. My dog, Kyoko, can’t get enough cuddles and would rather snuggle up with me on the deck than to play in the yard with her brothers (she was more likely to play when my sweet, deaf hound girl, Ran, was her, but Ran passed far too young back in April).
what a cute gal. she looks great for her age, my oldest is doing better now, doing pt with her at home, she is recovering for a 2nd bout of vestibular and some other things. evie hates to have her teeth brushed, she also hates to be groomed, i give her treats afterwards but that does not seem to make it any easier.
Olivia says I will smile for doggie ice cream with peanut butter and bananas in it. yummy
I put a smile on my dog, Rosie’s, face by feeding her healthy food and treats, giving her fresh water, exercise and lot of love and play time. She is such a happy dog that it’s not often that she doesn’t have a ‘ smile’ on her sweet face.
Mike gets very happy and excited when we play with the feather wands with the cats; he just runs around in circles having no idea what’s going on but being very happy.
sugar, sugar, what a beautiful smile you have, you must love these treats. my girls love it when they see me heading to the kitchen to where their huge bag of greats and chews are in a big, big bag….they even know the cabinet they are in, i catch them stiffing the doors and trying to figure out how to open them.
Mike is exceedingly happy when we grill steak as we did tonight, because he get s few bites.
I think my crew would agree, getting a little bit (or a lot) of banana is their favorite one from this list. 🙂
Sugar is just the cutest gal and has the best smile, her teeth are so white, you must brush them everyday as i do mine. however, mine are not that white, they have beards and food gets in their beards. when i came home from shopping the other day, my 3 gals went thru all of the bags looking for treats for them, but that was the one bag i did not leave on the floor when i came in b/c i know what would have happened.
Toys, yummy treats and belly rubs make Sookie happy. 🙂
Great advice! In taking care of multiple dogs, I sometimes forget some of these things. Gotta start doing them again.
It makes Mike happy to walk around directly under my feet when I am in the kitchen.
sugar you must love those treats, tell your mom not fair to tease yo by putting them on your head….but i can tell by that big lick it was soo good. i have 3 gals and the oldest gets different treats from the 2 younger gals. my oldest has never liked bully sticks, but she loves the beef taffy or beef strips so i have to buy special treats for her. after all she is almost 14 yrs old and deserves the best
My dogs smile when we all cuddle together. They love to be on either side of me while watching tv.
I love these hints for putting a smile on your dog’s face. They are all important. My Rosie doesn’t like banana pieces very often but she loves veggies like carrot strips, green lettuce and other cooked veggies.
i love how sugar can get her tongue all the way over on her nose. my girls cant do this, they have are little girls and have little tongues. but they love treats. when i get ready to leave the house, they know it is treat time…and they all sit waiting for their treats after they have pottied. i have to wait for Evie to get hers b/c since she is elderly, and slower, they other 2 gals sometimes try and grab her treats. i gather Sugar is an only child.
Sugar is just a joy to look at, how she smiles and loves her treats. you must get so much joy by just watching her ….she is a cutie. right now my girls need some treats to take their mind off all of the thunder and lightning.
We put a smile on our girls’ faces by giving belly rubs, playing, walking, feeding health foods and snacks and loving them every day.
