Two Ways To Help Pet Cancer

Pet cancer is the #1 disease-related killer of our beloved furry companions.
This June, you have two ways to help pet cancer.

1. JOIN us and Oz the Terrier on Instagram Loving Life Contest & Fundraiser #FuelTheCure. For every photo, Zuke’s will donate $5 to The Dog and Cat Cancer Fund. For more information on how to join, read our post: Instagram Loving Life #FuelTheCure. Three U.S. winners will win Zuke’s treats. Make sure to follow us on Instagram, @GoldenWoofs. Contest and fundraiser starts on Monday, June 8th at 8:30 a.m. CST.

2. JOIN Morris Animal Foundation Unite To Fight Virtual Walk on Sunday, June 28th. This is our second year joining this event.

We shared with you on a previous post that on June 22nd Morris Animal is hosting a virtual pet cancer walk. We joined and hope you do too. Dog lover Jonathan Goldsmith, The Most Interesting Man in The World, joined in too. He is also helping Morris Animal to recruit Jimmy Fallon. Did you know Jimmy has a golden retriever name Gary? Gary is Golden Cute.
Cancer is the cause of death in about 1/3 of all dogs, and 2/3 in some breeds. Sadly, Golden Retriever is one of a number of purebreeds that suffer a higher than expected incidence of cancer. Based on study, approximately 60% of all Goldens will die from cancer, 57% of females and 66% of males.
