It’s that time of the year … Pumpkin season.
We are very fortunate to visit a pumpkin patch.
Of course, we got some Pumpkins.
Mom promised to make me some pumpkin tasty treats, but she said it’s a process.
What does it mean? My tasty treat will take some time to make because the pumpkin needs to be roasted.
Here’s a 101 on How To Roast a Pumpkin
Rinse the pumpkin under warm water. Remove any dirt or debris on the pumpkin.
1) Place the pumpkin on a cutting board. With a sharp knife, cut the pumpkin in half.
2) Using a spoon, scoop out the pumpkin guts and seeds.
3) On a baking dish, lay the pumpkin face down. Optional: Add ~1/4 of water. Bake at 375 (or depending on your oven) for 45-60 minutes (or depending on how large the pumpkin).
4) Remove the pumpkin from the oven. Scoop out the insides.
You can disregard the skin.
Easy Peasy to Roast a Pumpkin. Give it a try.

Use the roasted pumpkin to make tasty Pumpkin Puree and dog treats.
I’ve never roasted a whole pumpkin (the seeds, sure)! Maybe I’ll try it this year. Pumpkin is certainly tasty, and there are any number of things to make with it.
We have never had roasted pumpkin before, but we do like pumpkin things. We will give the recipe to mama for her to try!! Sounds pretty easy! Happy Tasty Tuesday Sugar! xoxo Chloe and LadyBug
Hey Sweet Thang!!
You make everything twice as much fun. I do believe my personal pumpkins are about the purrfect size for roasting. My human sis is a pumpkin lover so Currently Mom has them on the hearth for decorations. Maybe after her visit this weekend Mom will let me roast one of them.

Yummy! The humans just roasted a spaghtetti squash last night, which is a very similar process of course.
Never heard of roasted pumpkin before. Does it taste like pumpkin pie???
Nothing better than fresh roasted pumpkin for our treats, right Sugar??? Our Mom likes to roast the seeds too and make them salty and crunchy, but not for us, just for her.

Hey Sugar!
Wow, what a perfect autumn treat! I’m not a vegetable fan, but I bet pumpkin made into a nice treat would taste great!

Looks yummy, Sugar…every veggie benefits from roasting.
Hi Sugar, I’m thinking your mom then uses the roasted pumpkin for treats and maybe puts it on your kibble. Hunter didn’t really like pumpkin when I tried that but I bet if I made pumpkins cookies like Silvie’s mom does, he’d like them. Hope you are having a wonderful day in Paradise.

I’ve never roasted a whole pumpkin – I’ve got to try it.
Sam
Thanks! Will have to try!
I’ll have to see what you’re working on. I’ve been working with pumpkin for two weeks now and can’t get a perfect treat just yet! Hopefully next week I’ll get it but Max doesn’t mind the failures one bit!
