December 22, 2020
3 Comments

Two of our favorite holiday traditions are seeing Santa and visiting different Christmas decors. This year is a bit different. Many places have minimal holiday decor and not offering Santa photos. These changes do not mean we can not celebrate the season with lots of smiles, love, and togetherness.

Since 2015, BLUE™️ Santa Snacks®️ is our favorite holiday dog treats. SUGAR loved this crunchy oatmeal and cinnamon dog biscuits. Now, KORU BEAR is loving these Santa Snacks in fun different holiday shapes like stars, gingerbread men, and Christmas tree. Your dog will also love BLUE™️ Santa Snacks wholesome ingredients, crunchiness, and delicious taste!

This post is sponsored by BLUE™️ Santa Snacks®️. I am being compensated to help share information about Blue Buffalo Santa Snacks dog biscuits from Walmart, but Golden Woofs only shares information we feel is relevant to our readers.

This is KORU BEAR 3rd Christmas. His first year celebrating Christmas 2017, he met seven Santas. KORU BEAR had a pawmazing Santa Adventures and I created a dog treat pouch using a denim pocket. I received lots of compliments from fellow dog owners that I made several and gifted them. This year for fun, I decided to reuse the BLUE™️ Santa Snacks®️ to create a special holiday dog treat pouch for KORU BEAR holiday 2020 adventures.

July 1, 2020
4 Comments

Just For FUN! Due to the current state, we are unable to travel and spending lots of time outdoors. KORU BEAR loves to chill and watch nature. He always Woofs when I’m in a hammock … so we decided to modify on how to hang a hammock for him to enjoy.

how to hang a hammock

5 Simple TIPS: How To Hang A Hammock For Your Dog

1
Finding the pawfect location to hang a hammock is so important. Choosing a tree to hang a hammock is a big deal. You want to select two sturdy trees that can also provide shade.

2
Keep in mind the distance and height.

3.
Make sure the trees can handle your dog’s weight (one reason #1 is so important).

4
A hammock should be low in the center and high near the ends. Use a safe rope or straps to secure the hammock.

5
Make sure to hang the hammock in the most comfortable position for your dog.

Having a hammock is a pawfect outdoor accessory that both provides fun and comfort for you and your dog.

DIY No-Sew Denim Dog Treat Pouch #BlueBuffalo

December 4, 2017

This year I’m especially excited about the holidays because it’s KORU BEAR’s first Christmas with us. We are fortunate to live in a dog-friendly city. I plan to take KORU BEAR on several fun holiday adventures; seeing different holiday decor and meeting several Santas. To celebrate our exciting holiday adventures, I made a special no-sew denim dog treat pouch and filled it with Blue Santa Snacks® crunchy dog biscuits.

DIY Denim Dog Treat Pouch Blue Buffalo

For convenience, I typically use my back jean pocket to store dog treats. Most of the time, these treats get smush, and my pocket ends up full of crumbs. One reason I was inspired to create a no-sew denim dog treat pouch and perfect to use for our holiday fun adventures.

Supplies Needed:
Old Denim Pocket
Iron on Patches
String
Scissors
Pen/Marker
Iron

How to No-Sew Denim Dog Treat Pouch

1. Cut the pocket out of an old pair of denim. Keep both sides of the pocket intact.
2. Around the top of the pocket, use a pen to make a mark to poke holes for about an inch apart. Use the tip of the scissors to make the hole larger.
3. Weave the string through the holes. Make sure to leave enough string at the end, to tie the pouch when it’s closed.
4. Set the iron on patch on the front of the pocket. Use the iron to set the design in place.
5. Filled the pouch with BLUE Santa Snacks dog treats.

How To Make Watermelon Blueberry Popsicle

June 30, 2016

Watermelon is everyone’s favorite summer treat. It’s refreshing and helps you hydrate.

Did you know?  Watermelon is often considered a fruit, but it is a vegetable and a member of the cucumber family. Watermelon is 91.5 percent water and can help you stay hydrated throughout the day. It is low in calories (has 46 calories per cup). Also, watermelon is an excellent source of Vitamin B6 and can help boost brain power. Several studies show that watermelon juice can contribute to reducing muscle soreness, so it’s great to have after a long walk/run with your dog. In moderation, dogs can have watermelon. To avoid intestinal blockage, do not let your dog chew or eat the watermelon rind.

#BlogPaws Finalist Best Pet Microblog|Conference Instagram Tips

June 16, 2016

Golden Excited to be a Finalist Best Pet Microblog for 2016 BlogPaws Nose-to-Nose.
Lots of Golden Thanks to those who nominated us.
Our nomination is for our Instagram: GoldenWoofs: account.

BlogPaws Finalist Best Pet Microblog

Instagram is a mobile app focused on photo sharing. Instagram has quickly become one of the most popular social media platforms. I love Instagram because it focuses on visual content. It is an easy and effective way to connect with others.

For upcoming BlogPaws, here are 7 Tips on How to Use Instagram at a Conference.

Conference Instagram Tips

7 Tips on How to Use Instagram at a Conference

1. Before the conference, spend some time to FOLLOW all the sponsors/brands, speakers, and other blog pals accounts.

2. Know the HASHTAGS! The official conference hashtag is #BlogPaws. The Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse hashtag is #SHWHP.

3. Snap a LIKABLE Photo. Keep in mind quality versus quantity. If you want to share multiple photos, I suggest a collage photo. Use Instaframe app to create the collage.

4. EDIT your photo. There are lots of photo-editing apps but my favorite is Snapseed.

5. Use Instagram FILTER. There’s a purpose why Instagram offers filters – it’s for FUN and for engagement. Did you know? Filtered Instagram photos are 21% more likely to be viewed and 45% more likely to be commented than unfiltered ones.

6. Be mindful of your TIME posting. Post on your account’s ideal time (each account is different based on the time zone).

7. REPLY to comments. Try to turn a comment into a mini-chat conversation. With every comment you receive, reply to it.

8. Give Instagram VIDEO a try. Instagram videos are the latest way to create engagement with your followers.

Happy BlogPaws Instagramming!
