{This Moment} June Brings Summer Beauty


Even though Summer Solstice officially takes place on June 21st,
the Scent of Summer is in the air.
All the trees are in their best. There are many colorful flower blooms.
Birds are singing and the pond with ducks is bursting with life.

Next Friday, June 14th is our 1st {This Moment} See Beautiful Hop Anniversary.

It all started September of 2011, when we began posting a once a month {Seeing Beauty}in This Moment blog post inspired by See Beautiful. See Beautiful is an inspiring site particularly for women to see the beauty they possess and empower all to see the beauty in the world. Golden Happy to receive positive responses and last June 8, 2012 it became 2nd Friday of the month {This Moment} See Beautiful blog hop. The purpose is to share what we see that is beautiful and brings meaning to our life. Sharing Moments of Beautiful event/occasions, actions/emotion, scenery, object … following what Confucius said

“Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it.”

{This Moment} See Beautiful: Dog Friendly Canadian Geese


One of Spring’s beauty are the Canadian Geese that flock overhead and hear their musical “a-hink-a-honk-a-hink-a-honk”. For the past weeks, watching the geese in the pond have been a part of my walks. Two Canadian Geese in particular stand out.

Canadian Geese Golden Moment: Sugar The Golden Retriever

Typically, Canadian Geese sense a dog within a close perimeter. They immediately make these loud “a-hink-a-honk” noises and take flight. These two Canadian Geese stay in the pond. Many says geese are afraid of dogs. I am not sure why and I am not here to harm them. I am just admiring their striking beauty and appearance. The brownish pattern on their back and wings make them an elegant looking bird.

Everyone goes through change.
Many welcome and accept change easily.
For some it can be a series of adjustments.
Change happens for a reason.
One must have an open heart and mind.
Keep in mind that it’s about how you approach change,
as Change is Beautiful.

We definitely went through a big change for the past year.
It was an adventurous and learning change. Golden Happy to be able to experience it.
Golden Glad to be back in my hometown and enjoy my favorite season, winter.

{This Moment} See Beautiful: Beautiful Moments Jar


Life is Full of Beautiful Moments.
Last year, we documented our Beautiful Moments through photographs.
This year, mom thought jotting down “Unexpected Happy” Beautiful Moments we shared together. Of course, we will continue to take photos too. Mom also thought instead of a notebook, she’ll use torn small papers to jot-down our Beautiful Moments wherein she’ll include the day, date, place, and what “Unexpected Happy” Beautiful Moment occurred.

By the end of January, mom realized she jotted down about 9 “Unexpected Happy” Beautiful Moments we shared together. It surely made her happy reading them again. She then decided to use an old treat jar to place these Beautiful Moments.
The beginnings of our Beautiful Moments Jar …

This Beautiful Moments Jar will also serve as our Happy Booster Moment.
When times we feel a bit down, we can always read the contents in our Beautiful Moments Jar.
Recalling Beautiful Moments always makes us Happy and puts a SMILE on our face too.
We plan to place our Beautiful Moments Jar by my tasty treat jar(s) wherein it will always be visible and have an easy access just like mom’s doggie cookies.
