SUGAR is having lots of Holiday FUN!
We spent the last weekend before Christmas in dog friendly Palm Springs.
Every time we visit Palm Springs, the weather is always hot. We were glad that the weather was delightful. SUGAR enjoyed sunny and cool weather.
We stayed at dog friendly Westin Mission Hills, Rancho Mirage. On a previous post, we shared that Westin Mission Hills Resort PETS. We were hoping to walk Felix, their current ‘rescue dog guest,’ but he was adopted the day we checked-in. Westin Mission Hills’s Adopt-A-Pet program is a partnership with Animal Samaritans. There are many dogs adopted since the Adopt-A-Pet program started in May 2015.
Westin Mission Hills has beautiful grounds and golf course. We enjoyed a long walk admiring their seasonal gardens and holiday tree.
Santa Dog SUGAR was on a mission to meet her 8th Santa. So we visited a local Petco and participated in their Joy Love Pets Santa Day; proceeds from the “Santa photo” benefits the Petco Foundation.
SUGAR also had a chance to do a mini-hike at dog friendly Palm Springs Museum Trailhead. The Museum Trail offers spectacular views of Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley. For SUGAR’s age, it’s a tough hike, but so worth it (even though we did not reach the top).
Special Golden Thanks to Mazda. We drove a Mazda 6 as part of Mazda Drive For Good event. Read more on our post on how you can participate.
We will definitely be back. Palm Springs is a short drive and a pawsome weekend trip. Enjoy the short video of SUGAR’s Holiday Fun in Dog Friendly Palm Springs.
