Golden Woofs had a successful 2017 eventful year …
One of A Kind Golden Love
One of the saddest unexpected events was the passing of SUGAR. Honestly, I’m still hurting, and haven’t had a chance to share more about her journey to the rainbow bridge.
Gift from God
I intended to rescue/adopt and had an opportunity to foster a 12-week Golden retriever puppy named Shauna from a local rescue group.
Unfortunately, I only had her for seven days. Shauna joined SUGAR at the rainbow bridge. Another unexpected pet loss that it’s difficult to share about.
A house is not a home without a dog …
The unexpected adoption of KORU BEAR was the highlight of my year. Many of you asked about KORU BEAR. On a recent post, I shared Five Things About KORU BEAR: New Life KORU BEAR A Gift from An Angel.

2017 Magazine Feature
I’m fortunate to be featured on Bake it Up Magazine Holiday edition. Initially, it was intended for SUGAR, but I felt it would be more appropriate to highlight my new recipe with KORU BEAR. Since SUGAR’s passing, I haven’t done much ‘dog treat’ baking … hopefully soon. I’m happy that old dog treat recipes were trending last year.

Successful 2017 …
I did not expect 2017 to be as successful as it became. Many Golden Thanks to all our blog and social followers. I’m grateful to all the PR/brands that trusted and supported Golden Woofs. Special Thanks to Red Roof Inn for our 2017 Blog Paws Conference sponsorship and Sleepypod for our pet travel sponsorship.

Blog vs Social Media
For 2017, I was very active on social media which provided Golden Woofs new audience and amazing new social friendships. Being active on social media offered an immediate insight on “how to” create a blog content. I find this process helpful especially creating a review blog post. Also, many new opportunities resulted from social posts and generated extra traffic to my blog.
2018 Making Intentions Rather Than Resolutions
Part of last year, I felt that I lost the fun of blogging. So this year, I intend to blog with intent; be mindful, align with brands/people that provide positive values and cultivating a feeling of joyfulness. Woofs to 2018!
hugs to you… I often feel the same… the world is no longer the same after such unexpected and sad happenings… something of the grief and the sadness is inside of us forever and ever
Happy New Year!!
2017 was surely full of unexpected things.
It still is hard to remember all the dear friends who have passed. Sugar was our friend for a long long time. So many moments we saw beautiful with her.
KORU Bear has brought you joy and happiness and filled your home with the pitter patter of Golden paws and we are happy.
Hugs madi your bfff and mom
Yappy 2018!
Happy New Year. Glad you have Koru around to keep you company. I kind of felt the same with “losing the fun”. Hope to get back on track this year.
Here’s to a wonderful 2018 full of love, laughter, and Koru! We still think of Sugar – she was an amazing dog.
Monty, Harlow, and Ramble
2017 wasn’t the best of years for me either, but it was due to hubby having medical issues rather than the dogs. Here’s to 2018 for all of us. I still miss Callie dearly – after 2.5 years – and find it difficult to fight back tears at times, so I can understand how much you’re still hurting over Sugar (and then poor little Shauna). Hugs to you my friend and kisses to Koru Bear. 🤗😘
